Where to Find Peace and Green Sceneries in Crazy Delhi, India?
Updated: May 12, 2020
I spent my last days of the trip in Delhi where I had a chance to explore busy markets streets as well as walk around the Gandhi gardens surrounded by beautiful palm trees. Gandhi Park or Gandhi Smriti consists of large gardens and museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi where he spent his last hours. The place is located in New Delhi and felt so refreshing and calm after noisy city centre hustle and bustle. Another place I would recommend to explore a different side of New Delhi is a magical Lotus Temple. This temple has won numerous architectural awards for its flower-like shape. It is a House of Worship where all religions are welcome which makes it even more special.
Another places I would recommend to visit would be Humayun's Tomb, Parliament of India and Qutub Minar. Delhi has made a very good impression to me - no matter the hectic traffic, pollution and poverty, locals are always smiling and are happy to help. I am looking forward to visit India again.
